Meet your trainer, Chris Novick
I have been in health and fitness for the past 15+ years and have worked with everyone from children to the elderly, novice to college athletes and everyone in between.
Certifications
I have achieved multiple certifications including Master Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Exercise Therapy Specialist, Glute Specialist and Bodybuilding Specialist. My passion is helping people lead a healthier and more active lifestyle through education and understanding how your body works in order to help you unlock its full potential.
The Back Story
I’ve been involved in sports since I was young, playing baseball and basketball as a kid and eventually getting into martial arts in high school. That is when I really started to focus on ways to improve strength and overall physique. My first job was at a health club which exposed me to many different forms of training. Whether it was bodybuilding, marathon training, rehabilitation or body maintenance. I became intrigued by how I could craft and mold my body into whatever image I had if I was willing to put the work in. This drove me to become a personal trainer and acquire different certifications within the fitness field to help me better serve my clients.
My Philosophy
Fitness is all about education and that is what I provide for my clients. What works, what doesn’t, what’s marketing, what’s hype and what’s real. That is a constant minefield to navigate as every day seems to unveil some new tool, pill or exercise that will “change EVERYTHING.” In reality, I’ve found that most of the diets and trends all boil back down to the basics of nutrition and exercise. I have found that most people just feel lost when it comes to exercise (what body parts should I work? What exercises should I do? How many sets and reps?) and nutrition (What are calories? What is a macro? Do I care? Can I please just eat cake?!)
The more I can educate my clients and help them understand the answers to those questions, the more empowered my clients feel and be able to achieve their goals. My personal goal is to have all of my clientele feel confident in the tools that I can provide them with to tackle their goals when I’m not there.
